Building Confidence Among School Leadership Administration, Teachers, and Staff.

Fulcrum Education Solutions helped Principal Alissa Turner build confidence in her leadership and, ultimately, trust among administration, teachers, and staff. The result: A more cohesive, collaborative school community where teachers feel supported and safe to take risks.
The Challenge
In 2021, when Principal Turner assumed leadership, the school community was grappling with the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. A survey showed staff desired a trustworthy leader who could offer support and steer the school strategically. The school partnered with Fulcrum Education Solutions to address this leadership challenge.
The Solution
Fulcrum aided Principal Turner in crafting a plan for effective leadership and school growth, fostering shared ownership of school culture:

Collaborating with teachers and staff, Fulcrum helped identify and develop core values, fostering deeper connections within the school community.

Principal Turner guided professional development sessions to internalize and enact these values, defining their meaning and application.

Fulcrum facilitated discussions with Principal Turner and her assistant principal to reflect on observed core values among staff.

Principal Turner was coached to communicate expectations clearly and provide ongoing support to teachers and staff.
The Outcome
92% of teachers and staff agreed or strongly agreed with the following survey question: “I feel I am a part of a professional and collaborative learning community of adults where I feel safe to take risks and ask for help”. This represents a 34 % increase from the previous school year.
